Melanie Brown is an Attorney for the Firm. Melanie works in a wide range of practice areas including general civil litigation, commercial litigation, construction law and construction litigation, general business and corporate law, real estate law, general liability, and contract formation and disputes.

Melanie was raised primarily in Bay County, Florida, where she graduated from A.C. Mosley High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida and her Juris Doctorate and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. During law school, Melanie served on the Student Bar Association Executive Board, worked as an LSU Law Admissions Ambassador and as a Student Mentor, and was a Regional Semifinalist in the American Bar Association’s Client Counseling Competition.

Prior to joining the Firm, Melanie spent several years working as a litigator for the Florida Department of Children and Families and then at a statewide civil litigation firm handling insurance and liability matters. Melanie takes pride in community involvement and is a proud member of the Florida Bar’s Young Lawyers Section and Trial Lawyers Section, the Bay County Bar Association, and the St. Andrews Bay Inn of Court. Melanie is admitted to practice in the state courts of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida.

Melanie and her husband, an engineer at one of our local military bases, have one son who is their pride and joy. When not at the office, you might find Melanie with family on the boat at Shell Island.
